How do I request a service
using FAMIS?
Request for a service can be placed using the online
work order system which can be reached through the
myIIT portal. Click the WORK tab, then
the Facilities
Channel and lastly the "FAMIS Self-Service" link. Also,
requests can be placed through the Facilities help
desk at 312.567.3343 or through the
SUBMITTAL FORM.
These two alternate methods should be used only in
case of emergency or portal outage.
How do I enter a service
request?

you. Further questions can be directed to the

I can not log on to
FAMIS, I get an error message?
If you can not view the Facilities Channel, get an
"illegal password/username" message or other similar
access messages, please submit an online ticket to
the
OTS Support Desk or call 567-3375.
How do students enter
work orders?
Students should enter work orders through the
Housing Department Work Order system at
http://housing.iit.edu/workorder.php.
Where can I find a list of
building monitors for each building, what are the
responsibilities of a building monitor?
A building monitor can be found by clicking the
building link on FAMIS Self-Service.
I tried to open a building
floor plan but it would not load. What do I need to
do?
You may need to adjust
your browser settings to allow popups (for this
site) and activex controls. However, you can
download the AutoCAD viewing software from AutoDesk
HERE. You will begin a download of an
executable program file from AutoDesk. Please follow
any prompts.
